The ROAR Challenge will:
The ROAR Challenge will help develop a school’s curriculum in inspiring and innovative ways. We have done extensive research and consulted experts to draw together a programme that meets the widely acknowledged need to imbed Youth Social Action (YSA) within formal education in the UK. And we’ve done it in an interactive way that offers transferable skills to students.
Participating in youth social action will boost the skills young people need to succeed in employment and adult life, whilst making them conscientious agents of change. There is robust and compelling evidence that young people who take part in social action initiatives develop some of the most critical skills for employment and adulthood. This endorsement is promoted by the Cabinet Office, Department for Education, Ofsted, Oxfam Education and many head teachers nationally. Teachers and school leaders have recognised that YSA education can develop and enhance values and skills they see as integral to their educations aims and school ethos. YSA is now being seen as ‘synonymous with their understanding of excellent education and integral to a broad and balanced curriculum.’
